How would home security affect my insurance premiums?

In lower/standard risk ares, fitting secutrity may not make much of a difference to your quote/premiums. In higher risk areas however, they may make a substantial difference.

Additions to your household security that could improve your quote are:

5-Lever Mortice Deadlocks - Deadlocks on front and back doors are very useful in deterring burlgars and may reduce your quote
Key Operated Window Locks - A small investment in these may lead to reduced quotes
Burglar Alarms - These may also help you lower your quotes. If you do decide to get a burhglar alarm, make sure it is NACOSS approved. Also, make sure it has a service contract and is professionally fitted
